On December 4-6, 2017, the BAIKAL RECEPTION was held at the UNEP headquarters in Nairobi as part of the official events of the Third UN Environment Assembly (the main event for the adoption of the global environmental agenda). The meeting was dedicated to the global topic of pollution. The participants coordinated efforts and measures to reduce pollution. One of the adopted documents was the resolution "Environment and health". It called for action against harmful chemicals. There was also a call for UN countries and regions to step up efforts to achieve the 2020 goal of environmentally sound management of chemicals and wastes throughout their entire life cycle.
