From March 11 to March 15, 2019, the most important environmental forum for the planet was held in Nairobi, where representatives of 193 UN member states on the environment had the opportunity to strengthen international cooperation in the field of environmental protection, commit to appropriate policies within states and to implement environmental protection programs in the UN system.The IV Assembly of UNEP, the world's leading decision-making body in the field of environmental protection at the highest level, was held in 2019 under the motto #SolveDifferent, encouraging people to "Think about the future.", Living for today." In addition to high-level meetings, the five-day program of the Assembly included events with the participation of the private sector and public organizations.The Assembly participants also had the opportunity to explore the stands of the Sustainable Innovations exhibition. It featured the best innovative technologies and expositions of companies that are guided in their work by achieving Sustainable Development Goals. The polar exposition of the International Association of Lake Regions "Northern Bear" was recognized as one of the best stands of the exhibition. She was particularly popular with journalists and guests from different countries and continents. During the UNEA IV, the International Association of Lake Regions managed to expand and strengthen professional ties with the heads of delegations of Eurasian countries and experts. MAOR representatives held a number of important meetings with the Secretariats of the UNEP and HABITAT programs, representatives of European and Central Asian countries, and discussed important MAOR projects.
