32 REGIONS, 7,652 kilometers from East to West, tens of thousands of participants and hundreds of tons of collected garbage: the results of the international environmental action of the IARC in 2019. In 2019, the territories of the Far East and the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation joined the "Clean Shores of Eurasia". As a result, the easternmost point of Eurasia, where the action was held, became the city of Anadyr, the capital of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug of Russia, and the westernmost — Geneva, the capital of Switzerland. In some regions, the action was massive and all—encompassing - residents of dozens of settlements within the region joined it. There were environmental festivals, quests, quizzes, exhibitions of artistic creativity, concerts in support of cleaning participants. The Clean Shores of Eurasia campaign is a long—term initiative aimed at creating an ecological culture and caring for the waters of the inhabitants of our continent. The Russian stage of the international action of the United Nations Environment Program and the IARC was held under the patronage of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia.
